Road Closures in Grant County
61st Ave SW (Heil Road) is currently closed 8 tenths of a mile north of Highway 21 due to a bridge replacement project. The current bridge is being replaced with a box culvert. NO DETOUR SIGNS ARE IN PLACE. Travelers will have to find a different route to get to their destination. Expected closure time is 2 1/2 to 4 weeks depending on the weather.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, repairs to the bridge 3 miles west of Shields on 82nd St SW (farm to market road) will not begin until Monday, September 20. Closure signs will be in place and remain up during the duration of the project. Weather permitting, repairs should be completed in 1 1/2 to 2 weeks from the start date. NO DETOUR SIGNS WILL BE IN PLACE. Travelers will need to use alternate routes to avoid the construction zone..
